Commercial Express is a market leading Managing General Agent, offering insurance intermediaries access to a range of insurance solutions designed to meet the needs of their clients. We are recruiting for a Permanent, Full time IT Support Analyst based at our modern offices on the Waterfront Business complex in Brierley Hill, West Midlands.

Within this position you will be required to provide Technical Support, predominately to the company’s 95 internal users. The Candidate must have at least 2 years’ experience in a support role with the environment indicated below. This candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills.

Duties / Areas of Responsibility:

             Be first point of contact for internal issues

             Log and investigate support tickets using FreshDesk helpdesk software

             Setting up new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with HR requirements

             Order equipment for new starters

             Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops

             Support end users and their equipment

             Setting up Mitel desk phones and softphones

             Install authorised software to laptops and desktops

             Escalate IT issues to the Senior Support Analyst and IT Manager where necessary

             Undertake small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed and supervised by the IT Manager or             Senior Support Analyst

             Ensuring security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops and laptops

             Antivirus installation to all desktops and laptops

             Completing internal user desk moves including phones

             Patching of network and phones

             Ensure documentation is updated where necessary

             Perform basic administrative support duties as required to meet specific operational objectives

             Work extra hours to meet deadlines, as required and where reasonable

             Provide assistance as required to the business

             Ensure that a high level of customer service and support is provided to the business

Experience / Qualities:

Essential:

             At least an A Level or HND in Computer studies or equivalent technical qualification

             Self-motivated and keen to develop new skills

             Attention to detail

             Experience of 1st Line IT support

Desirable:

             Office 2016 applications

             Exposure to Microsoft Windows Server 2012 & Microsoft Azure

             Exposure to Microsoft Exchange Server Administration

             Exposure to Office 365 Administration

             Exposure to VOIP telephone systems (Mitel)

             Experience of 1st Line IT support

             Basic Networking knowledge
